KUALA LUMPUR, September 15 — Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor has shut down speculation about his candidacy for prime minister, stating he is not interested in the role. Speaking at the PAS muktamar in Temerloh, Pahang, Sanusi firmly stated, “No, I am not ready. Find someone else lah,” when asked about the possibility of taking on the country’s top position.
Sanusi emphasized that he is focused on his current responsibilities in Kedah and has no personal ambition in politics. He also criticized leaders who rely on money politics to gain support, taking a jab at Umno by saying, “Let the people decide whether you are fit to be a leader.” His comments followed suggestions from PAS Youth delegates that named him as a potential candidate for prime minister.
