KUALA LUMPUR, September 17 — DAP Parliament chief whip Nga Kor Ming has labeled Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) rejection of the draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Opposition MPs’ allocations as unreasonable. Speaking at an event in Papar, Sabah, Nga emphasized that the conditions set in the MoU were fair and aimed at promoting national unity and transparency.
Nga criticized PN’s refusal to accept the conditions, which included asset declarations for wealthy opposition MPs and discouraging racial incitement. He argued that PN’s objections did not hold up, accusing them of fueling division instead of contributing to the nation’s development. Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin had earlier rejected the MoU, citing concerns over constitutionality and democratic freedoms.
