GEORGE TOWN, September 18 — MUDA Penang has urged the state government and local authorities to take swift and proactive measures following recent tree-fall incidents caused by heavy storms across Penang. The group highlighted the urgent need for comprehensive inspections and assessments of trees in public areas and parks, emphasizing the importance of addressing high-risk trees promptly.
MUDA Penang Chairperson Andika Putera called for a systematic monitoring plan, increased tree trimming, and regular maintenance to ensure public safety. He stressed that these actions are crucial to reducing the risks of tree-fall incidents and protecting the people of Penang.
