KUALA LUMPUR, September 26 – Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi has called for national issues to stay out of the Mahkota state by-election, emphasizing the need to prioritise local unity. He expressed concern that bringing in unrelated national matters could disrupt the state’s long-standing harmony among its communities.
Speaking yesterday, Onn Hafiz reiterated Johor’s focus on development and cooperation, stating, “As Bangsa Johor, we always prioritise unity.” He also criticized external leaders, including from Selangor, for attempting to stir discord, while reaffirming Johor’s commitment to maintaining a strong working relationship with the state’s opposition.
