GEORGE TOWN, September 27 — PBAPP will commission a new RM2 million pipeline near the Politeknik Seberang Perai campus on Friday, October 4, 2024, following a water leak caused by a third-party contractor. The incident is affecting water supply in Seberang Perai Tengah (SPT) and Seberang Perai Selatan (SPS). To resolve the issue, PBAPP has scheduled a 24-hour water supply interruption from 10pm on Friday to 10pm on Saturday.
The water supply disruption will affect 97,000 consumers in various areas of SPT and SPS. PBAPP will mobilize water tankers and static tanks to strategic locations during the interruption, and consumers are advised to store water in advance. PBAPP apologizes for the inconvenience but emphasizes the necessity of this repair to restore full water services.
