KUALA LUMPUR, September 27 — Penang will host the prestigious World Research Travel Conference 2024 from November 3 to 7, marking a significant celebration of the 50th anniversary of Malaysia-China diplomatic ties. The event, supported by the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB), will take place at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre, gathering global leaders in research travel, tourism, and education.
This year’s conference will emphasize sustainable growth in research travel, highlighting cross-sector collaboration and environmentally responsible practices. China, the guest country for the first time, will play a key role in strengthening cultural exchanges between the two nations, fostering collaboration in tourism, education, and marine ecology.
