Apple is gearing up to launch an upgraded version of its Vision Pro headset in the second half of 2025, according to a report by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The key upgrade in the new model is expected to be the inclusion of the M5 chip, a significant jump from the current M2 chip. This enhancement is anticipated to greatly boost the device’s computing power, particularly supporting Apple’s future Apple Intelligence features.
While the hardware design will remain mostly unchanged to help control production costs, the M5 chip will bring advancements in spatial computing, potentially accelerating the Vision Pro’s push toward mainstream adoption. The integration of advanced AI models, such as text-to-video capabilities, could further enrich the user experience, providing more compelling use cases for the platform. Despite these improvements, the price is expected to remain near the current $3,499.
Additionally, reports suggest that Apple Intelligence features, including on-device AI tools and enhanced Siri, will not be available until 2025, aligning with the release of visionOS 3. These innovations could mark a new era for the Vision Pro, positioning it as a leading device in the spatial computing landscape.
