KUALA LUMPUR, September 29 — Olympic swimmer Ben Proud, fresh off his silver medal win at Paris 2024, has returned to Malaysia as part of AirAsia’s ‘Dare to Dream’ initiative. Proud, the campaign’s ambassador, reunited with his former coach, Francis Kiu, at Team Q Swim Academy in Petaling Jaya, where his swimming career began. This marks the second edition of Proud’s Talent Pool swim clinic, aimed at inspiring young athletes through lessons in perseverance and goal-setting.

The clinic, open to swimmers aged 7 to 19, is a cornerstone of AirAsia’s commitment to empowering ASEAN’s rising stars. Rudy Khaw, CEO of AirAsia brand co., praised Proud’s resilience and achievements, noting his journey from setbacks to Olympic glory as a testament to the ‘Dare to Dream’ spirit. Proud hopes to inspire the next generation by sharing his story and showing that “no dream is too big” if pursued with determination.
