SEREMBAN, September 30 – DAP Secretary-General Anthony Loke has been unanimously re-elected as the Negeri Sembilan DAP chief, a position he has held since 2004, following today’s state party elections. Loke, also the MP for Seremban and Malaysia’s Transport Minister, garnered 571 votes out of 658 delegates present at the Negeri Sembilan DAP Ordinary Convention.
Alongside Loke, Seremban Jaya assemblyman P. Gunasekaran retained the Deputy Chairman post, while Nilai assemblyman J. Arul Kumar and Bahau assemblyman Teo Kok Seong were elected as Vice Chairmen. Loke emphasized the inclusion of both experienced and fresh faces in the new leadership, signaling a focus on rejuvenating the party and preparing for future electoral success. Plans for a new ‘Wisma DAP’ and initiatives to engage the second and third generations of party members were also announced.
