KUALA LUMPUR, October 1 – The Department of Standards Malaysia has launched MS 2781: 2023, a new Malaysian standard aimed at improving the efficiency of e-commerce logistics and last-mile delivery. This development is part of the National E-Commerce Strategic Roadmap (NESR 2.0), focusing on strengthening e-commerce fulfilment capabilities to boost Malaysia’s regional competitiveness.
MS 2781 standardizes logistics datasets, ensuring seamless data flow between sellers, e-commerce platforms, and logistics service providers. Industry players like SiteGiant, Delyva, and InstanteStore have already adopted the standard, and it is expected to reduce system integration costs while opening up more opportunities for businesses in the e-commerce and logistics sectors. The standard was officially launched by Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, YB Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul bin Tengku Abdul Aziz.
