SEBERANG PERAI, October 4 – Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow today launched the electronic monitoring structure plan (eMOSPlan) system, designed to track and evaluate policies under the Penang Structure Plan 2030 (RSNPP 2030). Speaking at the world town planning day celebration, Chow highlighted that the system will allow for real-time monitoring of policy implementation, ensuring their effectiveness and relevance to local needs.
The eMOSPlan will involve all relevant agencies and offer public access, marking a major step towards the digitalisation of town planning in the state. Chow also provided updates on the Draft Penang Island and Seberang Perai Local Plans, noting that the latter is nearing completion, while the Penang Island plan is expected to be finalised by year-end with plans for gazetting in 2025.
