JOHOR BARU, October 7 — Iskandar Puteri MP Liew Chin Tong has signaled his intention to step down as Johor DAP chairman, stating that it’s time for a new leadership. He expressed full support for his deputy, Teo Nie Ching, to take over the role.
“If re-elected to the committee, I will nominate Nie Ching as the next Johor DAP chairman,” Liew said at the Johor DAP Convention today. Teo, currently deputy communications minister, is also the DAP’s national publicity secretary and chairman of its women’s wing. Liew believes her leadership will strengthen the party’s future.
