GEORGE TOWN, October 12 – Sunshine Central Penang officially opened its Phase 1 yesterday with a grand ceremony, introducing a new lifestyle destination to the heart of Penang. Managed by Crimson Omega Sdn Bhd, the development boasts over 350 stores spread across nine levels, offering a comprehensive retail experience. The event was attended by notable figures such as YB Wong Hon Wai, Penang State Chairman of the Tourism and Creative Economy Committee, and YB Ramkarpal Singh, MP for Bukit Gelugor, who joined in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The opening also highlighted a special partnership between Time dotCom and Sunshine Central. Mr. Lee Kok Leong of Time dotCom presented a commemorative plaque, symbolizing the company’s role in equipping the center with cutting-edge telecommunications infrastructure to enhance digital retail and entertainment experiences. Visitors were treated to a 3,000-piece balloon drop, live fashion shows, and interactive entertainment, adding to the festive atmosphere.
