KULIM, October 16 – In a heartwarming celebration of resilience and achievement, twin sisters Nurul Syazwana binti Sagul Hamid and Nurul Zuhairah binti Sagul Hamid graduated with Diplomas in Accounting from Politeknik Tuanku Sultanah Bahiyah (PTSB) at the 18th Convocation Ceremony. Their academic success marks a significant milestone as they prepare to further their education at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), with Syazwana pursuing Islamic Finance and Zuhairah focusing on Economics.

Their journey, however, has been fraught with challenges, including the loss of their father, Sagul Hamid Bin K.M Latiff, in 2022, which deeply affected the family. Despite the hardships, the twins found strength in their mother, Mumtaj Begum, an auditor at Lumileds in Penang, and remained committed to their studies, even completing their first four semesters entirely online during the pandemic. The dedication and discipline required for distance learning did not deter them; instead, they returned to campus for their final semester and are now eager to embrace their future.

Their brother, Muhammad Anas, also pursuing a degree in Mechatronic Engineering, inspires them further. Syazwana and Zuhairah’s story serves as a powerful reminder that with family support and determination, no dream is too far out of reach.
