Apple is gearing up for an exciting 2025, with a new report indicating that the tech giant will launch its next-generation MacBook Air powered by the M4 chip early in the year. According to Bloomberg, the new M4 MacBook Air will be available in both 13-inch and 15-inch models, retaining the current design introduced in 2022. The release is expected to follow a December software update, with mass production starting soon, aiming for a launch between January and March 2025.
In contrast, the timeline for the M4 Mac Studio has been pushed back. Initially slated for an early 2025 release, the Mac Studio update is now likely to debut between March and June, after another scheduled software update. Apple is also developing an M4-powered Mac Pro, though details on its release remain sparse.
Apple’s 2025 product line-up doesn’t stop there. Along with the new M4 MacBook Air, the company is planning to introduce new iPads and accessories during its spring product release cycle. This includes a revamped iPhone SE, fresh iPad Air models, upgraded iPad keyboards, and 11th-generation entry-level iPads, codenamed J481 and J482.
Before the year is over, Apple is expected to unveil M4 updates for the MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac mini, with the latter receiving a significant redesign that will make it notably smaller than the current model.
