GEORGE TOWN, October 27 – Amphenol DC Electronics Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. has officially inaugurated a new 70,000 sq. ft facility in Penang, with plans for an additional 60,000 sq. ft in Phase 2. This significant expansion increases the company’s footprint in the region to over 130,000 sq. ft, reinforcing its dedication to growth and innovation in Malaysia. The event was attended by Amphenol management and staff, government officials, and key community partners, highlighting the facility’s role in enhancing the local economy and the semiconductor sector.
Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid, CEO of MIDA, commended Amphenol’s investment, emphasizing its contribution to Malaysia’s standing in the global electrical and electronics industry. Meanwhile, Mr. Ruben Macias, General Manager of Amphenol DC Electronics, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, stating that the new facility would allow the company to meet growing demand while creating 300 jobs and nurturing local talent. Located in Penang Science Park, the state-of-the-art facility is set to become a key hub for manufacturing and innovation, showcasing Amphenol’s commitment to sustainability and regional growth.
