GEORGE TOWN, October 29 – Sabah FC continued their impressive Liga Super 2024/2025 campaign with a commanding 4-0 win over Penang FC at City Stadium. The absence of Penang’s head coach, Akmal Rizal Ahmad Rakhli, was evident as Sabah exploited the home team’s defensive weaknesses from the start, with Saddil Ramdani netting the first goal in just the second minute.
Four minutes later, defender Gabriel Peres extended Sabah’s lead with a well-executed free kick. Stuart Wilkin then added a third goal in the 35th minute with a powerful shot from outside the penalty box, leaving Penang trailing by three goals before halftime.
In the second half, under the guidance of coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee, Sabah continued their goal spree as captain Dominic Tan scored the fourth and final goal. This decisive win moved Sabah up to third in the league standings with 20 points, now behind Selangor FC (26 points) and league leaders Johor Darul Ta’zim (31 points).
Elsewhere, Kedah Darul Aman FC drew 1-1 with PDRM FC at Stadium Darul Aman, while Sri Pahang FC and Kelantan Darul Naim FC also ended their match in a 1-1 draw at the Temerloh Municipal Stadium.
