Apple has introduced its latest MacBook Pro lineup, now powered by the new M4 family of chips—M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max—taking performance and pro capabilities to unprecedented levels. Alongside the advanced hardware, the new MacBook Pro models integrate Apple Intelligence, Apple’s personalized intelligence system, designed to enhance the way users work, communicate, and create.

The 14-inch MacBook Pro with the base M4 chip, priced at $1,599, includes three Thunderbolt 4 ports, 16GB of memory, and offers the same space black and silver finishes as higher models. For more demanding users, the 14- and 16-inch models with M4 Pro and M4 Max chips boast Thunderbolt 5, a faster 12MP Center Stage camera, and a cutting-edge nano-texture display. All models promise up to 24 hours of battery life, the longest yet in a MacBook Pro.

“The new MacBook Pro is a powerful tool for those who push creative boundaries,” said John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering. “With M4 family chips, Thunderbolt 5, and Apple Intelligence, it’s truly the world’s best pro laptop.”

The M4 family, built with advanced 3-nanometer technology, features a faster CPU and GPU, machine learning accelerators, and increased memory bandwidth, making it ideal for tasks like large language models and other AI-driven projects. The 14-inch M4 Pro model, with a 14-core CPU and 20-core GPU, is designed for intensive workflows, while the M4 Max model pushes even further with a 40-core GPU, setting new standards for speed in pro tasks like 3D animation and film scoring.

Apple also introduced a nano-texture display option, improving clarity and reducing glare. This feature, combined with up to 1000 nits brightness for SDR and 1600 nits for HDR, ensures a seamless viewing experience in various lighting conditions. Meanwhile, the 12MP Center Stage camera automatically adjusts to keep users in focus during video calls, enhancing collaboration.

New Apple Intelligence tools on macOS Sequoia, such as systemwide Writing Tools, generative image creation, and a redesigned Siri, are also making their debut. Apple Intelligence enables seamless task management and personalized assistance, with a free software update rolling out for M1 devices and later.

The new MacBook Pro models are available for pre-order today, with deliveries beginning on November 8. As part of its sustainability goals, Apple has crafted the MacBook Pro using 100% recycled aluminum, rare earth elements, and a fully fiber-based package, marking progress toward a carbon-neutral footprint by 2030.
