Apple’s anticipated smart home display, set for release early next year, will reportedly feature a design inspired by the iconic iMac G4. According to Mark Gurman’s Power On newsletter, the device will include a small, angled screen mounted on a circular base similar to the beloved retro computer, adding a nostalgic touch for Apple enthusiasts.
This smart home display will be Apple’s first to support Apple Intelligence and will run on an A18 chip. With a compact screen size and new homeOS, the device is expected to support apps like FaceTime, Notes, and Calendar, and could also include built-in speakers, essentially blending a HomePod’s audio features with display functionality.
