KUALA LUMPUR, November 6 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is set to visit the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, where he will officiate the Malaysia Pavilion, marking the 50th anniversary of Malaysia-China diplomatic relations. As Guest of Honour at CIIE 2024, Malaysia will spotlight its diverse exports through a Pavilion featuring 16 exhibitors, ranging from electrical and electronics to agriculture, healthcare, and ICT services, among a total of 3,496 exhibitors from 129 countries.
Organized by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade), with support from partners such as Bank of China (Malaysia) Bhd, Petronas, and Seri Pajam Development Sdn Bhd, the Malaysia Pavilion aims to expand Malaysia’s market reach in China. Matrade CEO Datuk Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz emphasized the importance of fostering innovation and partnerships, reinforcing Malaysia’s position as a global sourcing hub through CIIE, which runs from Nov 5 to 10.
