KUALA LUMPUR, November 8 — Genki Sushi Malaysia celebrated a major milestone today as it received Halal certification from the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) for all its Malaysian outlets. The certification underscores the brand’s commitment to meeting the values and preferences of its Malaysian customers while maintaining the authenticity of Japanese cuisine. At a special certification event at Genki Sushi in Sunway Velocity Mall, Genki Sushi SEA’s Head of Business, Development & Support, Jun Uchida, and Genki Sushi Malaysia’s Country Head, Law Hwee Ching, were in attendance to mark this achievement.
The event also featured the launch of new menu offerings, showcasing dishes like Sashimi Moriawase, Spicy Salmon Maki, and Tempura Moriawase, available across all Genki Sushi outlets in Malaysia. With plans for further expansion, Genki Sushi aims to enhance its dining experience, catering to a broader community while upholding high standards of quality, food safety, and cultural respect.
