GEORGE TOWN, November 9 – Marriott International has marked a major milestone with the opening of the Penang Marriott Complex, its 50th property in Malaysia. This landmark development, comprising the Penang Marriott Hotel, Marriott Executive Apartments, and Marriott Residences, was officially launched today by the Governor of Penang, T.Y.T. Tun Dato’ Seri Utama Ahmad Fuzi bin Haji Abdul Razak, alongside key figures including Marriott Chairman David Marriott and former Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.
Strategically located along Penang’s iconic Gurney Drive, the Penang Marriott Complex is Marriott’s first project in Malaysia to feature three distinct brands under one roof. The complex highlights the company’s commitment to elevating Penang’s hospitality landscape, offering a blend of modern luxury and local cultural charm, designed to attract both local and international travelers while boosting Penang’s status as a top-tier global destination.
