KUALA LUMPUR, November 16 — VSure Tech has been announced as the winner of the “Insurance Innovation Challenge Fund” (IICF) by Generali and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Awarded up to US$40,000 along with technical assistance, VSure Tech will use this support to further develop their peer-to-peer digital insurance platform aimed at enhancing resilience and coverage for Malaysia’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Generali Malaysia CEO Fabrice Benard emphasized the importance of financial inclusion and resilience for MSMEs, which comprise 97.4% of Malaysia’s businesses. VSure Tech’s innovative platform aligns with the IICF’s goals of promoting risk prevention and financial literacy, contributing toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by improving access to affordable insurance for underserved communities.
