GURUN, November 17 – Pos Malaysia Berhad has announced the addition of 1,092 electric motorcycles to its fleet in collaboration with MODENAS and DRB-HICOM EZ-Drive Sdn Bhd (AVIS). This expansion is part of Pos Malaysia’s sustainability initiative to electrify its first- and last-mile delivery fleet by 2030, aiming for Net Zero emissions by 2050. The new fleet of MEV-1 PRO motorcycles will join the company’s existing 220 electric motorcycles and 143 electric vans, furthering its commitment to reducing carbon emissions in the logistics sector.

The MEV-1 PRO, designed for business use, is known for its reliability, durability, and battery efficiency, making it ideal for the delivery sector. With a total capacity of up to 250 kg, including cargo and rider, the motorcycle can tackle challenging routes, including inclines of up to 19 degrees. Pos Malaysia plans to continue expanding its fleet, with new electric vans expected next year. This initiative not only strengthens Malaysia’s electric vehicle ecosystem but also supports the country’s broader climate goals, contributing to cleaner air and a more sustainable future.
