SUBANG JAYA, November 17 — Taylor’s University School of Architecture, Building and Design secured the 1st Prize in the Innovative Curriculum Category at the prestigious Anugerah Khas YB Menteri Pendidikan Tinggi (AKRI2024). The winning project, titled “Future Ready Architects: Transforming Lives, Empowering Changemakers,” was developed by a team led by Associate Professor Dr. Veronica Ng Foong Peng and received accolades for equipping students with skills to address modern challenges in architecture and urban design. This award underscores Taylor’s University’s commitment to excellence in education and innovation, further strengthened by a cash prize of RM 10,000.

In addition, Taylor’s University clinched 3rd place in the Transformative Teaching Category with the “THRIVE Model: Purpose-led Learning for a Sustainable Future,” led by Dr. Aqliah Yaacob and her team. The university also celebrated recognition as a finalist for its sustainability project “My Bamboo & GreenBliss Fiesta.” These achievements highlight Taylor’s leadership in fostering a multidisciplinary learning environment that empowers students to create impactful change.
