KUALA LUMPUR, November 25 – Sony has announced that its NDI®-compatible remote camera systems, including the Cinema Line Camera “ILME-FR7,” will now offer NDI video connectivity as a standard feature at no additional cost. This enhancement will be available for both new and existing products, either through a firmware upgrade or a complimentary NDI license. Users of the ILME-FR7 can upgrade to Ver. 3.0 firmware, set to release in June 2025, to access NDI functionality for free.
For users requiring an NDI license before the firmware update, Sony is providing complimentary licenses starting 18 November 2024. Details regarding the license’s availability can be found on Sony’s NDI HX License sales website.
