SHAH ALAM, December 1 – Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding the rights of non-Malay communities under the Federal Constitution. Speaking to over a thousand delegates at Bersatu’s Annual General Meeting, he emphasized the need for a multiracial approach to governance, urging broader support from non-Malay voters to achieve a united Malaysia.
Muhyiddin highlighted Bersatu’s inclusive track record, recalling his administration’s equitable distribution of aid during the Covid-19 pandemic, regardless of race or religion. “We are committed to protecting the rights and welfare of all Malaysians. A government led by Bersatu and Perikatan Nasional will be multiracial, ensuring peace, harmony, and mutual respect for every citizen,” he said, envisioning a more united and diverse national future.
