KUALA LUMPUR, December 5 – Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has announced a strategic initiative to expand its electric vehicle (EV) charging network nationwide through collaborations with prestigious hotels, resorts, and golf courses. By integrating sustainable mobility solutions with luxury lifestyle offerings, the brand aims to redefine modern EV ownership.

At the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with partners, Amanda Zhang, CEO & President of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, highlighted the importance of integrating electric mobility into curated experiences. “This strategy is about more than accessibility—it’s about enhancing every touchpoint of our customers’ journey through sustainability and innovation,” she stated.

The initiative includes branded charging stations at premium locations such as Shangri-La Rasa Sayang in Penang, The RuMa Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, and Anantara Desaru Coast Resort in Johor. With a three-pronged EV charging ecosystem—Charge@Home, Charge@Retail, and Charge@Public—Mercedes-Benz Malaysia collaborates with operators like EV Connection and Gentari to strengthen the infrastructure.

The partnerships also offer tailored privileges to customers, such as exclusive benefits at partner establishments. As Mercedes-Benz Malaysia explores further collaborations, it reinforces its leadership in combining luxury with sustainable innovation, shaping the future of electric mobility in Malaysia.
