KUALA LUMPUR, December 19 — UEM Edgenta Berhad and the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM) have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a Mutual Disaster Relief Team. This partnership aims to bolster disaster preparedness, enhance emergency response capabilities, and support recovery efforts, marking a pivotal step toward fostering community resilience. The collaboration will include rigorous volunteer training programs, joint workshops, and simulations to improve technical disaster response expertise.

Syahrunizam Samsudin, CEO of UEM Edgenta, highlighted the initiative’s focus on leveraging shared expertise and resources, including training facilities, to optimize disaster management frameworks.
