KUALA LUMPUR, December 24 – Independent pollster Merdeka Center has reported that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s approval rating has increased to 54% as his Madani administration celebrates its second anniversary. This marks a notable rise from 50% a year ago. The survey also showed that the government’s approval rating stands at 51%, up from 46% previously.

The survey highlighted that voters expressed general satisfaction with Anwar’s leadership, particularly in areas such as attracting investments, improving the country’s image, and reforming the civil service. However, there was a mixed response regarding the government’s efforts to strengthen the economy, reflecting varying public perceptions of its economic policies.
