KUALA LUMPUR, December 25 – The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) reaffirmed its commitment to driving Malaysia’s economic growth by hosting an exclusive gathering of the nation’s key investment stakeholders at The Majestic Hotel. Led by MIDA’s Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid.
The event brought together government agencies, state bodies, economic corridors, diplomatic missions, and strategic partners to foster collaboration and discuss transformative investment opportunities. Investment approvals for the first nine months of 2024 soared to RM254.7 billion, a 10.7% increase year-on-year, projected to create over 159,000 high-value jobs.
Datuk Sikh Shamsul highlighted MIDA’s evolving role as a strategic ally for investors, focusing on sustainable development and alignment with the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030. “Our vision extends beyond attracting investments to building an ecosystem where high-impact, future-ready industries can thrive,” he said.
The authority pledged to prioritize advanced technologies, digital transformation, and sustainable industries to drive innovation and economic growth.
