SUBANG JAYA, December 26 – Taylor’s University’s Bachelor of Fashion Design Technology (Honours) programme continues to solidify its reputation as a leader in fashion education, providing students with unparalleled opportunities for global exposure in 2024. By combining creativity, sustainability, and technological innovation, the programme has gained acclaim for its distinctive student work while shaping the future of fashion through practical and theoretical excellence.

Programme Director Maria Sandra Wijaya emphasized that the curriculum equips students with real-world expertise, fostering their ability to excel in a multifaceted fashion industry. Highlights of the year included the programme’s participation in prestigious events such as Vietnam International Junior Fashion Week and Bangkok Kids International Fashion Week 2024, where students demonstrated their versatility and professionalism.

Additionally, at THE SHOW Graduate Showcase in Kuala Lumpur and Fashion Graduate Italia 2024 (FGI24), final-year students presented 42 unique garments under the theme “Ethereal,” blending sustainability, cultural expression, and cutting-edge technology. Two students received “Most Promising Designer” awards, a collaboration with Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW), further enhancing their profiles through exclusive design opportunities.

Taylor’s University’s emphasis on sustainability was also evident in the Live Cool Live Green 2.0: Fashion Revolution Flashmob, showcasing eco-conscious designs and inspiring public engagement. Industry leaders like Benjamin Toong and Andrew Tan lauded the programme’s impact, affirming Taylor’s University as a global hub for cultivating emerging talent poised to lead the fashion industry.
