ISKANDAR PUTERI, December 29 – Pinetree Marina Puteri Harbour marked a new era in luxury marina services with a grand launch officiated by YAB Dato’ Onn Hafiz bin Ghazi, Menteri Besar Johor. The event, which also welcomed Johor state officials and corporate leaders, highlighted the marina’s transformation into a premier destination for boaters and tourists. Positioned strategically along the Straits of Johor, the revamped marina is expected to play a crucial role in enhancing regional connectivity and tourism, supporting the upcoming Visit Johor 2026 campaign.
The ceremony featured symbolic highlights, including the release of 162 red groupers into the marina waters and an exhilarating jet ski demonstration. Tiong Nam Hospitality Group, which assumed stewardship of the marina in April, has revitalized its facilities to cater to international standards, offering 76 berths, a fuel dock, metered power supply, 24-hour security, and leisure amenities. “Our vision is to establish this marina as a premier destination, enhancing the boating experience and contributing to Iskandar Puteri’s vibrancy,” said Johnny Lau, Senior General Manager of Group Hotel & Hospitality.
Pinetree Marina has already hosted prominent events, such as the annual Sail Malaysia rally, further solidifying its reputation as a key stopover for international boating enthusiasts. Complementing the marina, the adjacent Pinetree Resort features 107 serviced apartments, offering modern comforts for extended stays.
