KUALA LUMPUR, December 31 – Maxis has awarded scholarships to 16 deserving students under its Maxis Scholarship Programme 2024, aimed at supporting talented Malaysians pursuing studies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The scholarship program, which focuses on developing future-ready talent, received 700 applications from students enrolled in top public and private universities in Malaysia and Singapore.
Since its inception in 2006, Maxis has awarded scholarships to 346 students, furthering its commitment to advancing the nation’s digital agenda. The scholarships, presented by Maxis’ Interim Chairman Dato’ Hamidah Naziadin and CEO Goh Seow Eng, provide financial assistance to cover tuition fees and living expenses. In addition, recipients will gain valuable industry exposure through internship opportunities, hands-on experience, and guaranteed job placements with Maxis upon graduation.
The program is designed to equip students with the skills needed to thrive in the fast-evolving digital economy. Maxis continues to invest in STEM education, nurturing a new generation of professionals who will help shape Malaysia’s digital future.
