KUALA LUMPUR, January 1 – The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) has closed 2024 on a high note, hosting over 1,600 events and welcoming more than 1.1 million delegates, generating an estimated RM1 billion in economic impact for the country. This year saw high-profile international gatherings, such as the 17th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention and the 5th World Congress of Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus, solidifying KLCC’s position as a leader in business events.

The Centre also invested heavily in facility upgrades, including state-of-the-art interiors and sustainability initiatives like a 100% food waste diversion rate. Looking forward, KLCC is set for an even more remarkable 2025, celebrating its 20th anniversary with a calendar full of international conferences and exhibitions. Key events such as the ASEAN Summit and the International Petroleum Technology Conference will cement KLCC’s role as a premier destination for global business events.

The Centre also remains committed to environmental stewardship, targeting ambitious Net Zero Carbon Emissions goals while continuing to innovate and deliver exceptional experiences for delegates and clients alike.
