GEORGE TOWN, January 15 – Penang Marriott Hotel celebrated the success of its Beary Merry Christmas campaign by donating RM40,000 to the Children’s Protection Society (CPS) Penang. The funds, raised through the sale of 638 teddy bears at RM99 nett each, will support CPS in providing education and care for underprivileged children.
The campaign’s highlight was the festive Teddy Bear Christmas Tree in the hotel lobby, symbolizing hope and generosity. “This initiative is about more than celebration—it’s about making a real difference,” said Subash Basrur, General Manager of Penang Marriott Complex. “The community’s support has been overwhelming, and we’re truly grateful for everyone who contributed to this cause.”
At the donation ceremony, Penang Marriott representatives handed over the funds to CPS Penang, with heartfelt gratitude extended to all who participated. The event concluded with children from CPS expressing their thanks, underscoring the true spirit of giving.
