KUALA LUMPUR, January 17 — The Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture (MOTAC) has officially revoked the license of Layang-Layang Island Resort Sdn. Bhd. under Section 8 of the Tourism Industry Act 1992 [Act 482]. The decision, effective January 6, 2025, was announced by Tourism Commissioner Datuk Wira Roslan Tan Sri Abdul Rahman.
MOTAC emphasized its commitment to upholding the welfare and interests of Malaysians by enforcing compliance with tourism-related laws. The ministry reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy toward violations by licensed tourism operators, ensuring accountability within the industry.
