KUALA LUMPUR, January 19 — The Ministry of Transport (MOT) plans to integrate a newly launched mobile app for buying and selling used motorcycles, Rider Gate, with the mySIKAP system to ensure faster, safer, and more transparent transactions. Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the integration would address ownership transfer issues and outstanding summonses, creating a seamless process for buyers and sellers.
“Currently, motorcycle transactions must be done manually at the Road Transport Department (JPJ), unlike cars, which have the EAUTO system. By linking Rider Gate to mySIKAP, users can access safer and more secure transactions, with clear ownership records and fewer risks of fraud,” Loke said during the app’s launch at Lanai@MATIC.
He praised Rider Gate as a game-changing innovation for Malaysia’s used motorcycle market, offering transparency and ensuring mechanical quality for buyers.
