KUALA LUMPUR, January 20 – Maxis is expanding its youth empowerment and talent development initiatives through strategic collaborations with Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) and Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). These partnerships, formalized at Menara Maxis, will provide over 30,000 students with real-world exposure and opportunities to enhance their digital and professional skills.

The collaborations focus on knowledge sharing from industry experts, internships, the Hotlink Campus Ambassador Programme, special packages for students and staff, and on-campus e-sports and development activities. Patrick Er, Maxis’ Chief People and Transformation Officer, emphasized the importance of aligning academic excellence with industry expertise, stating, “Our engagement with universities underscores our commitment to connecting young talent to a world of possibilities while strengthening Malaysia’s digital future.”

These initiatives are part of Maxis’ broader mission to bridge the gap between academia and industry, ensuring Malaysian students are equipped with the tools and opportunities needed to thrive in an evolving digital landscape.
