LONDON, January 22 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim held strategic discussions with leading UK businesses, spotlighting Malaysia’s investment opportunities and the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Among the key engagements was a meeting with Standard Chartered Bank CEO Bill Winters, exploring collaborative efforts with Malaysian and Singaporean governments to facilitate global businesses entering the SEZ.

Anwar also met with officials from Jaguar Land Rover, Raw Energy, and Yondr, which is currently advancing a project at Johor’s Sedenak Tech Park. Earlier in the day, he attended a roundtable meeting with 53 industry leaders from Airbus UK, Shell, BAE Systems, and others, emphasizing Malaysia’s robust business climate and its commitment to fostering international partnerships.
