KUALA LUMPUR, February 3 – FWD Insurance Berhad, in partnership with Arus Academy, has launched the Fun(d) for Life – University Edition (FFL Uni) programme, a financial literacy initiative designed to equip 500 university students across Malaysia with essential financial skills.
Supported by RM1.5 million in grants, the three-month programme includes training, coaching, and community service, culminating in a RM3,000 cash award for each participant in savings or fixed deposits to promote financial independence. The initiative aligns with FWD Insurance’s commitment to financial inclusion, empowering young Malaysians to make informed financial decisions for their future.
The FFL Uni programme features an immersive bootcamp on budgeting, savings, protection, and investments, followed by mentorship and financial tracking tools to develop sustainable habits. Participants will also engage in community service, teaching financial literacy to at least 20 peers, ensuring the initiative reaches over 10,000 beneficiaries.
With its first cohort launching in February 2025, FFL Uni builds on FWD Insurance and Arus Academy’s successful financial education programmes, which previously impacted over 47,000 school students.
