KUALA LUMPUR, February 8 – In the spirit of Chinese New Year, Yayasan MR D.I.Y. has once again spread joy to charitable homes and care centers across Malaysia through its heartwarming “Ular-lar” initiative. This year, the foundation reached out to 14 homes, including orphanages, senior citizen residences, and disability care centers, benefiting nearly 700 individuals.

Volunteers delivered festive “Ular-lar” care boxes filled with Chinese New Year treats and everyday essentials, ensuring that residents could celebrate the season with warmth and joy. At Yayasan Sunbeams Home in Cheras, the team celebrated with games, performances of MR D.I.Y.’s CNY ‘Ular-lar’ dance, and traditional ‘Lou Sang’ tossing. Adding to the festive spirit, MR D.I.Y. Group Vice President of Marketing, Alex Goh, presented RM3,000 in MR D.I.Y. cash vouchers to support the home’s daily needs.

“Chinese New Year is about togetherness, and our mission is to ensure no one is left out of the celebrations,” said Zaleha Mohd Mydin, CEO of Yayasan MR D.I.Y. “This year, we added a special touch with our ‘Ular-lar’ initiative, making the festivities even more meaningful.”
