KUALA LUMPUR, February 14 – Vietjet closed 2024 with record-breaking financial performance, driven by strategic expansion and strong international demand. The airline reported aviation revenue of VND71.545 trillion (approx. RM12.5 billion) and an after-tax profit of VND1.301 trillion (approx. RM228 million), marking an impressive 33% and 697% year-on-year growth, respectively.

With 25.9 million passengers transported across 145 routes, including its historic first flight to the United States, Vietjet reinforced its position as Vietnam’s leading carrier while strengthening partnerships with major U.S. aerospace firms. Beyond financial success, Vietjet advanced its sustainability initiatives by adopting SkyBreathe®, an AI-driven fuel efficiency platform that is expected to cut fuel consumption by 2% and reduce CO2 emissions by over 96,000 tons annually.

As Malaysia’s connectivity with Vietnam grows, Malaysian travelers can now benefit from Vietjet’s expanding network, including direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. With continued fleet expansion, new routes, and digital innovation, Vietjet is poised for sustained leadership in the Asia-Pacific aviation sector.
