GEORGE TOWN, February 18 – Penang DAP Chairman Steven Sim has downplayed a brief commotion that occurred after a private dinner celebrating the 84th birthday of veteran leader Lim Kit Siang at Han Chiang High School. The event, attended by party members, was meant to honor Kit Siang’s contributions, but a viral video of the incident sparked public attention.
Sim responded by emphasizing that the main focus of the evening was the successful celebration of Kit Siang’s legacy. He reiterated his commitment to party unity and dismissed the incident as minor, stating, “It was just a storm in a teacup. Let us move forward together, stronger than before.”
