GEORGE TOWN, February 19 – A water supply disruption at Penang International Airport’s domestic departure area was swiftly addressed following a pipeline leakage caused by a malfunctioning control valve early morning on Monday. The issue, reported at 2:00 AM, Monday, February 16, led to the temporary closure of four toilet facilities, affecting passengers and staff.
According to Airport Senior Manager Mohd Nadzim Hashim, civil engineering teams, along with an appointed vendor, worked through the night to drain the affected pipeline and replace the faulty valve. The repair was completed by 10:30 AM, and water supply was fully restored, with authorities closely monitoring the situation to ensure stability.
