GEORGE TOWN, February 20 — Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow is leading a six-day investment promotion mission to Japan from February 16 to 22, organized by InvestPenang. The mission aims to enhance relationships with Japanese investors, encourage business expansions, and attract new investments to Penang.
The delegation has already engaged in high-level meetings and site visits in Tokyo with major corporations, including Toray, Pentax Medical, Renesas, Kobelco, Panac, Japan Lifeline, and Canon Inc. Continuing their efforts, the delegation will visit Kyoto and Kumamoto, where InvestPenang will showcase investment opportunities at the Kumamoto Industrial Revitalisation Expo on February 20-21.
With Japan playing a crucial role in Penang’s industrial growth, this mission reaffirms the state’s commitment to economic collaboration and strengthens its position as a premier investment destination in the region.
