GEORGE TOWN, February 21 – Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow has denied allegations that he deliberately skipped DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang’s birthday dinner, clarifying that his absence was due to prior official commitments in Kuala Lumpur. Dismissing speculation of a rift, Chow reaffirmed his deep respect for Lim and their long-standing collaboration in advancing the party’s mission.
Chow also called on the public to disregard baseless rumours suggesting internal discord within DAP, emphasizing that party unity remains a top priority. His clarification follows growing speculation over his absence, with some linking it to internal tensions. However, Chow insisted that there was no underlying political motive behind his inability to attend the event.
