MANAMA, February 22 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has confirmed that His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has shown significant improvement in health after undergoing conservative treatment abroad for musculoskeletal pain.

Speaking at the conclusion of his official visit to Bahrain, Anwar stated that the King, after successful initial treatment, has decided to return to Malaysia on February 21, with further medical care to be considered if necessary.

The King’s condition was linked to his intensive military training and active lifestyle, particularly his passion for polo. Meanwhile, Anwar also confirmed that the appointment of Malaysia’s new Ambassador to the United States has been presented to His Majesty, with an official announcement pending royal confirmation.
