GEORGE TOWN, February 23 – YB Tuan Haji Ishsam bin Haji Shahruddin, the Ayer Kuning State Assemblyman (N.48) from Perak, passed away after collapsing during the Four-Cornered Chief Minister’s Cup Football Tournament at Bandar Raya Stadium, George Town.
The 59-year-old lawmaker lost consciousness while greeting players at the fieldside around 5:20 PM and was rushed to Penang Hospital at 5:40 PM. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at 6:28 PM at the hospital’s Emergency Department.
