PUTRAJAYA, February 24 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has confirmed that China’s President Xi Jinpingand several African leaders will visit Malaysia in the coming months to enhance economic and diplomatic relations. Speaking at the reopening of Alamanda Mall, Anwar emphasized the importance of trade, technology, and AI development in keeping Malaysia competitive globally.

He reiterated that Malaysia is strengthening ties with emerging economies in Africa and Latin America, alongside maintaining strong relations with major global players like China, the U.S., Japan, and Europe. The government is also pushing for AI advancements and semiconductor investmentsto position Malaysia as a regional tech hub.
